Course Summary
This course provides an overview of the benefits and purpose of Indian Head Massage. Included are history, set up, contraindications, proper draping and body mechanics, care and cleaning of the equipment. Participants will learn the preparation and implementation of the treatment. Practice of the techniques of the Indian Head Massage is included. 4 Hours Continuing Education Credits

Learning Objectives
At this end of this training, participants will be able to...
- Describe the benefits and of using Indian Head Massage for practitioners and clients.
- Describe the indications and contraindications involved in safely providing the service.
- Summarize the effects of scalp massage on the body.
- Demonstrate the set up and cleaning up of materials and equipment.
- Perform a 45-minute Indian head massage protocol using a variety of shapes and sizes of stones for optimal flow during a session.

Jennifer Coke is a licensed esthetician with 13 years of experience in the professional spa and wellness industry and a Licensed Esthetics Instructor. She is also the Executive Director of the Academy of Therapeutic Esthetics And Massage, where she is dedicated to educating and preparing the next generation of esthetics and massage professionals.
Jennifer combines her extensive hands-on experience with a passion for teaching, developing curriculum, and helping practitioners refine their skills. Her teaching approach emphasizes practical application, clear demonstrations, hands-on practice, and understanding the purpose behind each technique so that students can confidently incorporate new skills into their professional practice.
In addition to her work as an educator, Jennifer has extensive experience providing Indian Head Massage, customized facials, body treatments, waxing, and reflexology services. She brings that real-world perspective into her continuing education courses, helping experienced practitioners connect new techniques with the client-centered, professional standards they already use in their practices.
Jennifer is passionate about sharing techniques that enhance both the client experience and the practitioner’s skill set. Her goal is for every student to leave her courses with practical knowledge, greater confidence, and techniques they can immediately incorporate into their services.
