Discover the foundations of Thai Massage through this hands-on Supine training. You’ll be introduced to Thai Massage principles, including history, lineage, and Sen Theory, which provide the groundwork for this ancient healing art.

In this course, you’ll practice compressions, wedges, stretches, and jostles specific to the supine position. By the end, you’ll be able to confidently design a 60–90 minute Supine Thai Massage treatment or seamlessly integrate Thai techniques into your table sessions.

Thai It Down: Prone Thai Massage - Course Summary

Expand your Thai Massage skills with this Prone-focused training. This course builds on foundational Thai principles such as history, lineage, and Sen Theory, while diving deeper into techniques for the prone position.

Through guided practice, you’ll learn compressions, wedges, stretches, and jostles that can be combined into a 30–60 minute Prone Thai Massage treatment or incorporated into your existing table massage practice.

Thai It Together: Seated & Side-lying Thai Massage - Course Summary

Round out your Thai Massage practice with techniques for Side Lying and Seated positions. This training continues the study of Thai Massage principles, including history, lineage, and Sen Theory, to deepen your understanding of this dynamic modality.

You’ll explore compressions, wedges, stretches, and jostles tailored for side lying and seated postures, enabling you to build a 30–60 minute treatment or expand your table massage sessions with new tools.

Note: Each class is independent of the others. You do not need to take the classes in order, nor complete all classes to perform a complete Thai Yoga service. Each course will prepare you to add Thai Yoga Massage to your practice now! We will be offering each course again in 2026.

meet the instructor

Jonathan Steinberg, LMT

 Thai Massage ignited Jonathan Steinberg's pursuit of massage therapy over 15 years ago while living in NYC.  He attended The Academy of Massage Therapy in Hackensack, NJ, worked in NYC PT Clinics, Fitness Clubs, and spas, and was a Teacher's Assistant of Thai Massage, Tui Na, and Swedish courses at Pacific College of Health and Science.  Jonathan trained with Al Turner of Two Souls Thai Massage in Brooklyn NY, then studied with Ajahn Pichet in Chiang Mai, Thailand.  Presently, Jonathan  co-owns Eastern Livity Wellness Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas, possesses massage licenses in multiple states such as NY, AR, MO, and TN, and is a  500 hour Yoga Teacher, trained by Circle Yoga Shala.  Jonathan started teaching Thai Massage in 2022 as an Approved Provider of NCBTMB Continued Education in New York, Arkansas, and Missouri with great success and positive feedback from his LMT students and colleagues.
